[AMD] Re: Hawk CV-240

Ben:

A shot from the hip, since it has been literally decades since I built that kit, but I believe the entire plane is in 1/125 rather than 1/144; I recall the overall detail being pretty good, that it built easily, and had full landing gear. I didn't use the military decals; painted it like a Frontier Airlines plane similar to what I had seen living in Santa Fe New Mexico. The one negative I recall was that there was no engine detail or even cowls; the nacelles ended in a flat front to which the propellers mounted. If I found and built it now, I'd find a way to add a 3-D cowl around the engine areas. It would be a fun one to do again.

I've got a Sasquatch 240 kit that I'll one day try to beat into submission, and it would be a lot easier to do if I could replace the fuselage. The wings aren't too bad, but the fuselage will need a lot of help.
