OK, please allow me to set the record straight. I may have been OTT with my comment. Actually, it wasn't you who started this issue of "commercialism". In message 50746 of July 9, Frank White (oldhooker) complained about not frequenting AMD much any longer due to it being IHO an "endless series of commercials". I think that's the genisis of this current debate. True, the 1/200 HAS thread may have been a contributing factor. But from my research through the recent posts, most replies to his line of thinking were negative.
Suffice to say that time will repair whatever damage has been wrought. I have already sent an email to Ray Charles suggesting he reconsider his decision not to post his new offerings on AMD. Like Laurent has said, this is the natural place to post that type of info.

However, I then apologised directly to the original poster when I re-read my reply & realised that, having posted it on a very bad hair day, shortly after having had a run in with e-bay & paypal over an issue not of my making, it did appear a bit OTT.<<
