Frankly it has always seemed pretty pointless to be comparing modern kits with those made over forty years ago, kits which when they were made were probably state of the art and everyone thought it was wonderful that they were being made. And you can't buy most of them today in any case without resort to e-bay and anyone going to those lengths to get one will probably have a fair idea of what it will be like.
The car I drove forty years ago would not stand a very good comparison with the one I drive today so why would kits be any different.
Please let's just let the subject drop in favour of something more positive.
