There are eBay alternatives, no doubt about it, but if you want exposure and the most bids, unfortunately they are the only game in town. An auction system only works when there are dozens or hundreds of interested parties. Wasn't there a modeling only auction site started a few years ago called kitbay or something like that? What happened to them? Well, they're gone, because 20-25 visitors per day don't make an auction. We've had an "Exchange" forum at airlinercafe.com for several years now and it works quite well. Members post whatever they have for sale or trade and interested individuals reply or make an offer. Not interested in it, simply don't read that section. As you can see here, 17 pages of items for sale or offer to trade: http://www.airlinercafe.com/forums.php?m=topics&s=17 Doesn't have to be kits and decals either. It could be a missing item, wanted piece of a decal or what have you. As you can see it works quite well and with over 1400 members it gets good exposure as well. Have at it. Thanks, |
